Specification1.1 does not change product version0.1.0. The expanded release is under development, not available as a complete feature set. The repository development specification and docs/expanded-release-status.md are the normative requirements and implementation ledger.
Durable jobs live in private branch tables within existing owners: encrypted payloads, deduplicated submissions, fenced leases, bounded retries, attempt history, cancellation and explicit dead-letter replay. Management routes expose metadata, not payloads or lease credentials. Push replay is blocked until recipient-aware campaigns exist. Studio /jobs now provides private metadata, attempt history, pagination and explicit replay/cancel confirmations. Experimental database webhooks now add atomic outbox checkpoints, scoped/current-policy projections, signed exact-byte deliveries, rotation/retries and pinned SSRF-safe HTTPS. Notification and alert services remain pending.
Policy simulation now supports synthetic fixtures and real-engine SELECT/INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE without modifying production rows. Legacy read tests remain compatible and cannot enable service bypass with request fields. DELETE forwards revision guards like PATCH. Experimental Security Advisor adds bounded metadata findings, remediation, expiring evidence-bound acknowledgments and Studio /security. Static checks are not a security audit.
Both application and management uploads stream through private disk staging, with incremental SHA256 and optional expected checksum. Branch archives use authenticated streamed v2 framing; legacy branch archives remain readable. Control-catalog archives now use self-contained authenticated streamed v2 metadata, with bounded legacy recovery, offline rollback and revoked restored capabilities.
Private metrics include cumulative latency histograms with contract-derived bounded labels. qb doctor adds read-only redacted local checks and an explicitly requested readiness probe. Configuration presence is not connectivity or provider certification.
Recovery Center; full Security Advisor/simulator acceptance; Operations Dashboard and alerts; full streaming acceptance; live Deployment Doctor probes; Query Inspector; Schema Change Review; expiring schema/fixture-only previews; full webhook crash/load/compatibility certification; Local Data Lab; identity-aware Realtime Debugger; permission-aware PostgreSQL full-text search.
Native SDK, SQLCipher caches/queued writes, SecureStore sessions, OAuth/passkeys, optional media/background capabilities and the complete Expo push lifecycle/campaign/toolkit/Node-worker integration remain required, not implemented by the job foundation.
All four browser WASM integrations remain required: SQLite WASM, jSquash resize/WebP, hash-wasm SHA256 and DuckDB-WASM. They are optional/lazy-loaded capabilities, never server PGlite replacements or required for login/CRUD.
The full release requires compatibility gates, legacy consumer/archive tests, policy isolation, crash/lease behavior, bounded transfer measurements, SSRF/signatures, encrypted native restart/conflicts, push lifecycle/environment/MFA/receipts and local-worker budget/cancellation tests. Physical passkey/biometric/background/real-push checks are explicit opt-in certification. Mocks do not certify providers/devices.
No deployment, external publication, EAS credentials, production notifications, automatic cutover, multi-region services or integrated object-byte backup is implied. Object-store backup/versioning and master-key custody remain separately managed operator responsibilities.
| Required feature | What exists now | Remaining accepted scope |
|---|---|---|
| Recovery Center | Encrypted branch/control snapshots; isolated restore and retention. | Experimental: per-project schedule/retention, sealed off-node destinations, inventory/freshness findings and isolated drills with database/object/key reports. No automatic cutover or integrated object-copy backup; alert delivery and provider certification remain open. |
| Security Advisor + Policy Simulator | Real-engine simulator; bounded grant/exposure/bucket/key-age/MFA findings, evidence/remediation, expiring acknowledgment and Advisor UI. | Full relationship/type/constraint matrix, hard scratch execution budget and broader security/compatibility acceptance. No automatic fixes. |
| Operations Dashboard | Private request counters, contract-labeled latency histograms, owner/disk basics. Organization-level alert rules and a Studio/email notification center are available. | Authorized latency/queue/restarts/WAL/outbox/maintenance/backup/delivery summaries with bounded labels/retention and redacted data. Signed-webhook alert channels remain deferred. |
| Bounded streaming transfers | Private disk-staged uploads, checksum/cancellation and streamed branch/control v2 archives with legacy recovery. | Full expanded stress/restart/concurrency evidence and remaining transfer validation gates. Resumable multipart remains deferred. |
| Deployment Doctor | Read-only redacted CLI inventory and explicitly requested readiness GET. | Runtime/ownership/provider/worker/destination/native diagnostics; explicitly invoked scoped write/mail/push probes. |
| Query Inspector | Existing trusted SQL console; not an inspector. | Normalized slow queries, owner-generated plans including policies, schema-based index suggestions and reviewed comparisons; no values or automatic indexes. |
| Schema Change Review | Migration/backup path and Schema Visualizer. | Destructive diffs, isolated safe rehearsal, exposure/policy review, generated type checks and approvals bound to the base schema version. |
| Disposable Preview Environments | Isolated restore exists; not a preview service. | Schema/policy-only fresh-identity forks with reviewed fixtures, quotas, default 72-hour/max-seven-day TTL and fenced cleanup. Never clone users/tokens/jobs/destinations; no merge/promotion. |
| Durable Webhooks + Job Inbox | Encrypted queue, atomic checkpoints, scoped/current-policy projections, signed exact-byte deliveries/rotation/retries, pinned HTTPS/SSRF checks and Studio controls. | Full crash/queue/load/cross-platform certification and downstream operational alerts. Local TLS tests are not production receiver certification. |
| Local Data Lab | Specification only. | Explicit local imports, schema preview/query/profile/export, opt-in persistence/deletion and bounded local workers; no silent uploads or remote SQL fetch. |
| Realtime Debugger | Current SDK lifecycle/reconnect/replay and basic Studio guidance. | Metadata-only tracing, gaps/resync/latency and identity-scoped application debug sessions. |
| Permission-aware Search | No application search API/collection service. | Registered PostgreSQL full-text collections over exposed allowed text, transactional indexes, policy-filtered results/counts/snippets, deterministic pagination and schema-change invalidation. Docs search is unrelated. |
Studio/email operational alerts are implemented. Organization-level alert rules live in the control plane and are evaluated during the maintenance tick. Rules cover error rate, error count, p95 latency, dead-letter depth, quota usage, backup failure and snapshot age. Firing writes a notification row and attempts direct email delivery; failures are logged in a delivery table and surfaced in the Studio notification center. Per-rule cooldown and debounce are stored in alert_states. Signed-webhook channels and recovery/acknowledgment/deduplication workflows remain planned.
Read the dedicated native/offline/background/push requirements and WASM/Data Lab requirements. These pages describe accepted contracts without presenting unsupported runnable SDK methods. All remain required, not completed by the job foundation.
The implementation order is specification/contracts, shared jobs/streaming/metrics/authorization, production confidence, native/push, developer workflows/WASM, then full documentation/packaging/compatibility verification. Completing one stage does not satisfy the overall release.
The specification 1.1 includes purpose, workflows, authorization, API/SDK/state/configuration/limits/failure/compatibility contracts and requirements-to-tests traceability. Require real crash/negative/isolation tests, legacy consumers/archives, bounded transfers, signatures/SSRF, preview secret exclusion, policy-aware search, encrypted native restart, exact push cleanup boundaries and worker cancellation/budgets. Generated capability status remains available in the API reference.
