Disposable previews

Schema fork, not a data copy

Open Previews (/previews) for the selected project. A preview copies schema, exposure, relationships and policies into a disposable branch. It does not copy production rows, users, sessions, provider credentials, push registrations or webhook destinations.

Optional fixtures are synthetic rows you supply in Studio. They are not an anonymized export of the primary branch. Previews are not merged back to primary.

TTL and states

The default lifetime is 72 hours. Studio offers 24 hours, 72 hours and 7 days (168 hours). States are queued, provisioning, ready, expiring, deleting, deleted and failed. Extend and delete act on that disposable branch only.

Management contract

Prefix with /management/v1/projects/{projectId}:

DELETE	/previews/{id}	Delete the preview branch.

The management client exposes previews(projectId).list/create/get/extend/remove. Provisioning is asynchronous. A failed preview reports an error string and does not change the primary branch.
